Dr. Aretha Yamusah, DDS, MPH

  • Dr. Yamusah received her dental degree from Columbia University's School of Dental Medicine in 1995 and a Masters in Public Health from Columbia Mailman School of Public Health. Dr. Yamusah completed general practice residencies at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine and North Central Bronx Hospital in Philadelphia in 1996 where she had first call duties in the treatment of head and neck trauma, Emergency Medicine and Dental care for Special Needs Patients. In 1997, Dr. Yamusah received an Oral Surgery fellowship from Temple University Hospital. Returning to NYC in 1998 to complete an Infectious Disease fellowship at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital, while working in conjunction with the NYC Department of Health. Dr. Yamusah also worked at St. Christopher's Children's Hospital, a level one Trauma Center, in Philadelphia.

    Dr. Yamusah was awarded the National Leadership Award in 2003.

    She is listed in the 'Guide to America's Top Dentist' by the Consumer Research Council of America.

    She has written three books, all focusing on children's oral health.

    Dr. Yamusah is a member in good standing with the American Dental Association, the American Academy of General Dentistry, the West Michigan Dental Society, and she also holds the hospital and admitting privileges at Metro Health Hospital, Mercy Health Hospital and Spectrum Health Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

    Dr. Yamusah is a member of the AAFE (American Academy of Facial Esthetics) and The AAAM (American Academy o Aesthetic Medicine).
